The Lamia - Update

I have posted the an update to the Lamia. This is the same Midi file but with updated performances (a bunch of little corrections) and an updated mix that in my opinion sounds a bit smoother than the first version.

I also added a little section that you might find interesting where I show how GENESIS builds up simple layers or walls of sound using different instruments. I bet you didn't know all of these parts were part of The Lamia when you go and listen to the description of the layering of sound. This section is right below the full versions of The Lamia.

And oh, I had many requests to include the Karoake versions of these MIDI files, so I included a copy of the Lamia without Vocals for those who like to sing along.

Thanks and enjoy,
Jim

The Lamia POSTED

Well, this took longer than expected but hopefully it was worth the effort. I tried to get this song as close as possible to the original recording and spent hours upon hours tweaking all the instruments both in performance and mixing with EQ and effects. The Lamia is one of the most beautiful ballads that GENESIS ever did and rumor has it that it was based upon a dream that Peter Gabriel had before the concept of The Lamb was born and he decided to work it into the story line of Rael. The instrumentation on this song is simply put, perfect. You don't hear arrangements like this anymore and this is just one of the reasons that I decided to create this tribute sight. I hope you enjoy the tune and remember to please rate the song as it helps provide feedback for the overall LLDOM project.

Thanks in advance and now on to the Music (scroll down below to find the audio player widget).
